"Field Report Vol XVIII: Marshall Park" transports the listener to an enchanting US Pacific Northwest destination with location-specific nature field recordings matched to sparse compositions for piano, electric piano, vibes and clarinet. At Marshall Nature Park in Portland, Oregon we find two creeks that cascade through 390 wooded acres, meeting at an opening beneath a bluff where children frolic and play. Winter brings a hush to the woods, reflected here in the subdued arrangements and wistful melodies.
