about

The largest black cottonwood tree in North America--and likely the world--stands near the Willamette River in Oregon, in a sleepy 1680 acre state park. The sounds of this place and its wildlife are pristinely captured in winter ambience field recordings, serving as inspiration and background to minimal compositions for piano, woodwinds, tuned percussion and synthesizer. This 17th collection in the expanding "Field Reports" series demonstrates the rapid evolution of Chad Crouch as a recordist and composer.
